Where to Find Comments
On P&L and Sales Forecast data:
Hover over a line item or a specific month
Click the three dots (•••)
The modal will open
The Comments section appears at the bottom (expanded by default)
On historical P&L data:
Click the chat icon under a month
A comment-only modal will open (no editing options)
Adding a Comment
Type your message in the comment box
Click Send to post
Keep in mind:
Comments are limited to 500 characters
A character counter will show as you type
Once posted:
Your name and timestamp will appear with the comment
A purple indicator will show next to the line item to indicate a comment has been added
Replying to Comments
Click Reply under any comment to respond
Replies are grouped into a thread, making it easy to follow the conversation
By default, you’ll see the original comment and the most recent reply, with the option to expand the full thread
Mentioning Teammates (@mentions)
You can tag team members in a comment by typing @ + their name.
When you mention someone:
They’ll receive an in-app notification
They’ll also receive an email notification with your comment and a link to view it
Note: Email notifications are only sent when someone is @mentioned (not for regular replies)
Notifications
A notification badge will appear on the Comments icon in the sidebar when you’re mentioned
To manage email notifications:
Go to Manage Account → Profile → Notification Settings
Toggle “Receive email notifications for comment mentions” ON or OFF
Viewing All Comments
To see all comments in one place:
Click the Comments icon in the sidebar
From here, you can:
View all comment threads across the project
See where each comment was made (e.g., Advertising (P&L))
View the full conversation thread
Click “Go to Comment” to jump directly to it
Comments are sorted by the most recent activity, so you can quickly find what needs attention.
Managing Comments & Threads
Click the three dots (•••) on a comment to manage it.
You can:
Edit your comment
Delete your comment
Resolve a thread when it’s no longer needed
Permissions
What you can do depends on your role:
Account Owners & Admins
Can edit any comment
Can delete any thread
Team Leaders
Can delete any comment
Cannot edit others’ comments or delete threads
Editors & Reviewers
Can edit and delete their own comments
Can delete threads they started
Deleting Comments
Deleting a comment will also delete all replies in that thread
Resolving Threads
If a conversation is complete:
Mark the thread as Resolved
The thread will be grayed out for visibility
If needed, any user can reopen (unresolve) the thread and continue the discussion.
Where Comments Are Supported

P&L (forecast and historical data)
Sales Forecast
