Team Roles

This guide explains the different team roles within a Projection Genie team and details the specific permissions and access rights for each role.

Team roles are structured hierarchically as follows:

  • Account Owners

  • Admins

  • Team Leads

  • Editors

  • Reviewers

Below, you will find a detailed breakdown of the capabilities and restrictions for each role.


Account Owners

Allowed:

  • Full access to manage all aspects of the Projection Genie account.

  • Ability to create and manage child accounts.

  • No limitations on permissions.


Admins

Admins have nearly all the capabilities of Account Owners with the following exceptions:

Not Allowed:

  • Viewing billing information.

  • Changing payment details.

  • Changing plans.

  • Deleting the parent account.


Team Leads

Team Leads extend the capabilities of Editors with additional managerial privileges.

Allowed:

  • Perform all actions available to Editors.

  • Connect and disconnect a QuickBooks online account. (RunSmart specific)

  • Add and remove team members.

  • Change the roles of team members.

  • Change the project name.

Not Allowed:

  • Delete the project they are the Team Lead of.


Editors

Editors have a broad range of permissions focused on content and scenario management.

Allowed:

  • Modify Forecasts (RunSmart specific).

  • Edit answers on the questions page. (StartSmart specific)

  • Edit scenario names.

  • Create new scenarios and delete existing ones.

  • Update logos.

  • Create and send share links. (StartSmart specific)

  • Download tables and charts.

Not Allowed:

  • Connect and disconnect a QuickBooks online account. (RunSmart specific)

  • Edit the project name.

  • Delete the project.

  • Add, delete, or change the roles of team members.


Reviewers

Reviewers have a read-only role designed for oversight without editing capabilities.

Allowed:

  • View all pages and financial projections for the project they are associated with.

Not Allowed:

  • Connect and disconnect a QuickBooks online account. (RunSmart specific)

  • Make any edits.

  • Delete any content.

  • Share scenarios via read-only links. (StartSmart specific)

  • Download tables or charts.
