The Reports feature in RunSmart helps you stay on top of your business’s financial health by delivering professional, easy-to-read reports straight to your inbox. Reports blend your QuickBooks actuals with RunSmart forecasts, budget-vs-actuals, and health scores—so you always have both an up-to-date view and forward-looking insights to guide your decisions.
What’s Included in Reports
Each report is delivered as a professional PDF that includes:
Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
Forecast comparisons that show how your actual results stack up against projections
Budget vs. actuals analysis to highlight where you’re on track—or falling behind
Financial health scores that summarize your overall business performance
Reports are automatically named so they’re easy to organize. For example:
YTD Financial Report – Acme Inc. – October 2025
How Reports Work
Automatic scheduling – Reports are generated and delivered via email on the schedule you choose (monthly, quarterly, or annually).
Year-to-date view – Each report summarizes performance from the start of the year through the most recently closed month in QuickBooks.
Data sources – Reports pull in your QuickBooks actuals and combine them with RunSmart forecasts.
RunSmart analysis – On top of the numbers, reports also include budget vs. actuals and financial health scores to give you a deeper understanding of the business's performance and trends.
Receiving Your Reports
Your reports are delivered via email using a secure download link.
The subject line will read:
Your <Company Name> YTD Financial Report for <Month> <Year> is ready!Inside the email, you’ll find a message with a secure link to download your report.
For security, links:
Expire after 48 hours
Can only be used once
Require you to enter a 4-digit PIN (set on your profile page) before downloading
If a link has expired, you’ll see this message:
"This link has expired.
For your security, report download links are only valid for 48 hours.
To access your report, please log into your account on a laptop or desktop computer."
PIN Security
You can set and manage your 4-digit PIN in your profile under Update PIN.
After 6 failed attempts, you’ll be locked out for 30 minutes.
During that time, you can still log into RunSmart directly to view reports.
Report History
Want to revisit older reports? The Report History page stores up to 5 years of past reports.
Access it from the sidebar under Reports → Report History
Reports are displayed in a sortable grid with:
Report Name
Date and Time generated
A PDF icon to download
This makes it easy to track your progress and compare past performance at any time.

✅ Tip: By default, reports are sent monthly, but you can change this to quarterly or annually in your report settings.
